Our Superstar Mahesh Babu gives a Sankrathi treat with this massy family entertainer movie. This is everything his fans have been waiting for since a long time. This 'Maseledar' movie is the perfect SSMB movie to watch before he dives into the magnificent world of SS Rajamouli's movie. Let's dive into the highly inflammable world of Guntur Kaaram!

                                             OPENING

The movie starts off perfectly by setting a backstory and including all the elements required for a commercial movie. It gives a brief glimpse of the entire movie by showing equal mass scenes and emotional scenes. 


                             MAHESH BABU AS RAMANA

Mahesh Babu gives his career's best performance as Ramana Gadu in the movie. All scenes are a treat to watch on the big screen. He balances humour, romance, violence and emotions whilst bringing his own special charisma to the character. His dance scenes was something that wasn't expected. The theatre turned into a stadium during his dance and fight scenes. He is indeed aging like fine wine.



                                               ACTING


The movie was well cast as all the actors bring out their best thereby making the movie more fun to watch. Sreeleela performs up to the mark. Her cute character and chemistry with the protagonist was wonderful. Prakash Raj as always is just beyond the mark, he plays the antagonist with a shade of dark humour and vileness. Jayaram and Ramya Krishna give the movie an emotional base and excel with their emotional scenes. Vennela Kishore was my favourite as his comedy made the whole theatre laugh. All the other actors including Murli Sharma, Meenakshi Choudhary, Rao Ramesh, Easwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu and others play their character adequately making this the perfect family entertainer.


                            WRITING AND DIRECTION


Trivikram as a director was superb. He gives the family entertainer that he promised and showcases Mahesh Babu in a mass avatar like never before. He makes sure that this commercial movie satiates the hunger of all the SSMB fans. His blend of action, drama, comedy and romance stands up to the expectations. The writing was decent too.



                                              MUSIC



Thaman indeed does a remarkable job when it comes to the music of the movie. He gives the vintage thaman vibes with this chartbuster album. All the songs were first class for a mass movie. The mass action song, love song and dance numbers were top class. The background score of the movie was dazzling and elevated the movie.



                           MOST TALKED ABOUT SCENE



The scene that is going viral is in fact the lungi dance of the hero and heroine that came out of the blue. No one expected that but it impressed all the fans. The dance of Sreeleela was wonderful but Mahesh Babu's surprise scene in that sequence is what is on everyone's mind.


                                                VERDICT

I would give the movie 9/10. It is a mass family entertainer movie that all the Mahesh Babu fans and cinephiles will enjoy. It is a regional movie and a feast for fans before the Globetrotting SSMB29. On the box office front it would make above average collections. My take is to not listen to the critics and watch this 'Dum Biriyani' movie on the big screens.
