Fighter Movie Review

                  ''FIGHTER FOREVER"

The Greek God of India is here once again to give us a goosebumps worthy film. Siddharth Anand's effort of trying to take Indian cinema to the level of Hollywood is clearly visible here. Let us dive into the world of India's first Aerial Magnum Opus and discuss it in detail!

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS SO READ IT ONLY ONCE YOU'VE WATCHED THE MOVIE.

                                              OPENING

The films starts off by foreshadowing a glimpse of what the movie has to offer, that is Entertainment and Patriotism at it's peaks. We are introduced to all the characters on a light comical tone but the introduction of Patty with the astonishing flight scene pulls us into the movie.

                           HRITHIK ROSHAN AS PATTY

It was so good to see one the best actors that our country has ever produced back in all his glory. Hrithik Roshan as Shamsher Pathania aka Shammi was apt. He gives the character so much depth whilst keeping the swag and attitude intact. His emotional scene during the funeral of Bash where he talks to Saachi was when his acting touched it's peaks. His dance was out of the world as usual.

                                              ACTING

Deepika Padukone was the perfect choice for the heroine of the movie. Mini makes us laugh and grove to her coolness equally, however her scene where she talks to her parents at the pre-climax is so heart touching. Anil Kapoor is now there in almost all the big budget movies where his character is supposed to make the audience really connect and bond with movie. The entire cast like Karan Singh Grover and others lend a good support. Rishabh Sawhney as the antagonist of the movie is just too good. Azhar Akhtar is like an old school villain, truly terrifying and evil without any justifications.

                                VFX(VISUAL EFFECTS)

The VFX in the movie were just top notch. All the aerial sequences and the action sequences were brilliantly executed. Although the planes used were real, giving an aerial action movie is tough, which the team of fighter pulls off with finesse. The extravaganza of the movie is what makes this movie on par with Hollywood level biggies.

                               WRITING AND DIRECTION

Siddharth Anand will indeed not stop until until he puts Indian movies at the top of World cinema. He gives us the same blockbuster Bang Bang vibes with this movie. I have been a fan of his movies since Salaam Namaste. The way he shows larger than life scenes is truly commendable but I truly love him for the way he entertains the viewers whilst giving them a top of the world feeling with his action blocks. Although the writing could've been a little more crisp the fantastic climax covers up for it. I am hyped up on another level to see what his new production house Marflix Pictures bring us in the future and the magic he will create in Tiger Vs Pathaan.

                              MOST IMPACTFUL SCENE

The climax was the most impactful scene that gave us an all time high. The whole theatre was filled with patriotism while enjoying the movie. The aerial action, fights and IOP dialogue made the whole theatre go crazy!

                                                 MUSIC

To be honest the quality of Bollywood music had taken a big hit and was not able to create the euphoria that it had created about 5-10 years back, but Vishal-Shekhar have done a commendable work in this movie. The whole theatre was grooving to the songs and the bgm does elevate the movie. Siddharth Anand and Vishal-Shekhar are indeed a deadly combo. Not releasing all the videos of the songs before and saving them for the big screen like Mitti, Dil Banena Waaleya and Dil Chah Raha Hai was a good call taken by the team.

                                           VERDICT

I will give this movie 8/10. Fighter deserves to be watched alone as it is India's first aerial action entertainer, but this movie still manages to instill us with patriotism while enjoying it. This movie is treat to watch and should definitely be watched on the big screen. I would recommend experiencing this in 4DX, IMAX or ICE. VANDE MATARAM!
